Visit the famous Sammy Miller Museum

A Collection Like No Other

Sammy Miller, a former 11-time British Trials Champion, poured his lifetime of expertise into this collection. The result is a curated gallery of rare, exotic, and historically significant motorcycles that you simply won't find anywhere else.

  • World-Firsts: You’ll find machines that pushed the boundaries of speed and technology in their time.

  • The Rare & Unusual: From Grand Prix icons to eccentric prototypes that never made it to production, the breadth of the collection covers the entire spectrum of motorcycling innovation.

  • Constant Evolution: The displays change. Because the workshop is so active, exhibits are rotated, meaning that repeat visits are almost mandatory for the true fan.

The Ultimate Ride-To Destination

Situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park, the museum is surrounded by some of the best riding roads in Southern England. The journey to get there is just as enjoyable as the destination itself.

After spending a few hours wandering through the history of British and international motorcycle engineering, the surrounding area offers endless opportunities for scenic rides through ancient woodlands and open heathland. It makes for the perfect weekend trip—a blend of technical inspiration and the simple joy of open-road riding.

Why It Matters for Enthusiasts

In an era where modern bikes are increasingly defined by electronics and software, visiting the Sammy Miller Museum is a grounding experience. It reminds you that at its core, motorcycling is about mechanical ingenuity, bravery, and the pursuit of perfection.

If you are planning your next motorcycle tour or looking for a reason to get the bike out this weekend, head to the New Forest. Walk the aisles, talk to the staff, and soak in the legacy of the machines that built our sport. It is, quite simply, the best motorcycle museum in the UK.
